Composition and Ideas

These are some ideas of animation’s i have in mind relating to my place. Im still trying to pick a few key words for the motion graphics project and how to portray the emotion.

PRESENTATION

VIDEOS:

I chose this kinetic typography video because of the good colour combinations and movement which portrays the characteristics and emotions of the word. It’s also clean and simple making it easier for the viewer to follow or understand.

I chose this video because of the different illustrations and how well it fits in with the music. I thought of doing something like this as it relates to my place where you see a lot of art, graffiti and other things that i can illustrate showing the good or bad of Otara.

MOODBOARD

This is my first moodboard to give me inspiration and direction.

EXPERIMENTATION

For this experimentation i tried to do a tagging movement. I wasn’t able to add the audio of a spray can, to make it more realistic. Even though this is not my word it was a good learning experience.

FIRST MOTION GRAPHIC

This was my first attempt which i didn’t really like. it doesn’t portray graffiti. The only thing i liked was the colours and photographs. Each photograph represents my place which is Otara

So i decided to do my own graffiti and scan it in. Then digitize and add colors and details.

Poem: Do you see what i see?

Otara a place where you see violence, state houses, poverty, gangs, drugs, police, rubbish and vandalism.

I see a place full of life

I hear laughter

I hear singing

I see culture

I see pride

I see struggle

I see hustle

I see talent

I see character

I see kids playing out on the streets having fun and being free.

Otara a place I call home.
